  1. Is this an employee position or independent contractor?

This is a W-2 employee position with Health and Dental benefits.  Taxes are taken from your paycheck.  We work with an HR company that gives us all the support that a larger company offers.

  1. Do you offer a car allowance or expense reimbursement?

No.  Our compensation plan is set up to pay a higher percentage of the revenue to the Account Executive, and they manage their expenses from that.  Most Account Executives work from a home office environment and have very little travel and expenses beyond their cell phones.

Our goal is to allow top performers to maximize their income by running their assigned territories like a business.  While you are an employee, we offer the opportunity to run a business within our business, without the HR and payroll headaches.

  1. Is this commission only (and if so, how long does it take to “get going”)?

Yes.  We don’t believe in salaried sales or management professionals.  Our commission schedule is very generous and our sales and training program is designed to get you off to a fast start, and earning money with presentation opportunities you schedule starting with your second week, where you are accompanied by a veteran manager to support you throughout the sales process during training.  We treat you like a professional and pay full commissions during training so you can “earn while you learn” with our support.

In a typical “base plus” environment, top performers are underpaid because a portion of the commissions are always held back to cover salaries of weaker sales people.  We refuse to do that.  At ByTheZip.com, you will be paid exactly what you are worth…no more, no less.  For top performers, this is music to their ears…if it terrifies you, then this probably isn’t the position for you.

  1. How are commissions and renewal commissions paid?

You will be paid twice monthly on revenue collected during the payroll period.  All commissions are paid in advance, so that if you collect 12 months with the original contract, you are paid on all 12 months.  The same is true of prepaid renewals.

  1. Do I have to come to Malvern everyday for meetings?

No.  After your initial 5 week training program, you will typically only come to Malvern on Mondays.  Primarily, you are working from a home office environment.

During training, you will be in Malvern the entire first week and then Monday and Fridays for the next 4 weeks.

  1. How do I qualify for a Management position?

Management is available to those individuals that complete our training program, demonstrate an ability to consistently sell our program and have an aptitude for coaching, training and leading others.

We do not hire managers directly, no matter how much experience you have.  Everyone must prove themselves in the field prior to moving into management.

  1. How do I know that ByTheZip.com won’t get bought by a bigger company?

You don’t and we can’t give you a guarantee.  We can state that our goal with this company is to develop our system and grow it into a national company.  Our ownership group is young and actively working within the organization and takes great pride in the people that work with us and have made ByTheZip.com what it is today and what it will become tomorrow.

Companies get bought and/or merge all the time.  Just know that our short term goal is not to sell, but rather to build and grow.  Long term, we know that a merger or partnership with another company may be in all of our best interests, but we don’t see that happening within the next 5 years.
