1. How will I know if ByTheZip.com is working?

You will be provided with a comprehensive monthly report that shows how many people viewed your page, printed your coupons, sent you an email and linked over to your website.  This report is accessible 24/7 365 through your secure administrative control panel.

2. How is ByTheZip.com different from online yellow pages?

ByTheZip.com is a platform that focuses more on getting your business found on major search engines and driving traffic to your front door and telephone through a community based branding and advertising campaign.  We grow one community at a time and currently serve the Western Philadelphia Suburbs and Wilmington, DE areas.  Our Virtual Mainstreet does not include all business listings like a yellow pages, rather, we focus our search engine optimization and internal traffic towards our clients.

Additionally, unlike a typical yellow pages, every one of our member clients gets a full directory listing with enormous amounts of information about their business, the ability to distribute coupons, additional uploads that may include brochures, menus and materials.  This is all included at our basic price for all members.

3. How much does it cost to list my business in ByTheZip.com?

The price of your program will vary depending on the type of business you have and the size of the area you service.  Our prices start at $80 per month for restaurants and retail stores and $120 per month for contractors and professional service providers like mortgage brokers and lawyers.

4. How do I make changes/edits to my info – Is there customer service?

Yes, we have local customer service.  In addition to your Account Executive, we have a customer service care center in Malvern, PA that can help you make edits and changes to your web page information.  We guarantee that all changes will be completed within 1 business day of your request.  Our customer service team is available by phone and email, M-F, 8 AM-5PM EST.

You also will have an administrative control panel that will allow you to make your own changes and edits online 24/7 – 365 days per year.

5. I already have a website, why do I need ByTheZip.com?

ByTheZip.com is a platform designed to drive traffic to either an existing website or the one we provide for you.  If you already have a website, then the proprietary geo-vertical optimization system we have created will help that website get found by more people in more places.

Most websites are like a bright, colorful online brochure sitting in the closet.  They look great, but nobody sees them.  Our program is designed to get that online brochure found by people using ByTheZip.com and major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN.

6. If I don’t have a website, can ByTheZip.com benefit my business?

If your business doesn’t have a website or is in the process of building one, ByTheZip.com can be very beneficial in getting you found in the Internet world.  We provide your business with a complete website that includes valuable information about your business and get it found on major search engines and within our Virtual Mainstreet.

While you are certainly welcome to build a custom website for your business, many of our smaller business clients simply have us register a URL web address for them and use their ByTheZip.com page as their business’ personal website.  Besides being very informative, our site allows for unlimited updates and changes and we do all the work, all included in your basic membership price.  This can be very cost effective and convenient.  Currently, over 200 businesses work with us in this capacity.

7. Is this Pay Per Click?

No, ByTheZip.com is not pay per click, nor do we do any pay per click.  Our focus is on the organic search optimization that accounts for 75% of all Internet clicks.

We do recommend that you explore PPC if that interests you.  For many businesses, PPC in addition to organic optimization can be very effective and profitable.  We have also seen just as many businesses that don’t benefit from PPC.  Our suggestion is work with a PPC professional and tightly monitor and manage the campaign.

8. What if my business doesn’t offer coupons?

Not all businesses or industries offer or are able to offer coupons as part of their overall advertising campaigns.  No problem, coupons are not required.

We do feel that all businesses benefit from being on a site that has businesses offering coupons.  Coupons are a great way to get consumers to visit a site and come back over and over again.  Our Virtual Mainstreet is designed to take advantage of this traffic to promote all of the various kinds of business on the site…not just the companies that use coupons.
